What the site gives

Metal Building Calculators gives planning estimates for metal buildings: a price range, what fits inside, a ground snow load by ZIP code and the concrete for a slab. The site is free and needs no account. By using it you accept these terms.

Estimates, not advice

The numbers are worked out from published data and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. The site gives no warranty that they are accurate or right for your site and your building.

Before you buy or build, check the building and its price with a dealer, the structure with an engineer, and the permit and the snow load with your local building department. The snow load shown here is a planning value from a public dataset, not a design load, and nothing on the site is an engineer’s design.

You use the site at your own risk. As far as the law allows, Metal Building Calculators is not liable for any loss that comes from relying on it.

Prices

A price on the site is a range built from list prices that sellers published, read on the date shown with it. It is not an offer, a quote or a promise that anyone will sell at that price. What you pay depends on the seller, the steel, the options you add and your site.

Sellers change their prices, so a range can fall behind the market until the data is read again.

Quote requests

“Get prices for this building” sends your request, with the building, to Metal Building Calculators. It is stored on this site’s server and emailed to the site’s mailbox so we can reply. It is not passed on to dealers or anyone else. What is stored and for how long is on the Privacy page.

A request is not an order and binds neither you nor us. The site does not promise a reply, a price or an answer from a dealer. Send only your own details.

Fair use

You may use the site, link to it and share the buildings you design in it. Please do not:

• fetch pages or data at a rate that slows the site for others;
• send false, automated or spam requests through the form, or get around its limits;
• try to break into the site, its server or its data.

The site may block traffic that does any of these.

Content and links

The text, drawings and tables on the site belong to Metal Building Calculators. You may quote a short part with a link to the page it came from. The snow data is used under its own license, named with it in Sources. Names of sellers and vehicle makers belong to their owners and are used only to name a source.

The site links out only to official documents in the Sources of a page and to the credit for a photo. It is not responsible for what those sites say or do.
